About
Us

We are KW PRODUCTIONS, a Leicester based musical theatre company who present at least one fully staged musical or revue each year.
Set up as a privately owned amateur musical theatre company, KW Productions does not run a 'traditional' membership driven society and does not have a committee. Instead, KW Productions is run and funded entirely by Producer Keiran Whelan-Newby and prides itself on its original ethos;
"to hold free open auditions to all, providing fair opportunities to take part in shows rarely produced on the amateur theatre circuit"
Established in 2014, Producer and Owner Keiran Whelan-Newby (then just Whelan) took the 'plunge' and staged a small chamber version of A SLICE OF SATURDAY NIGHT at a new and upcoming pub theatre venue, UPSTAIRS AT THE WESTERN to huge acclaim.
An unexpected opportunity to bring this production to THE LITTLE THEATRE main stage presented itself in 2015 which then led to further co-productions in support of The Little Theatre's Building Fund.
To date, KW Productions has raised over £43k towards The Little Theatre Building Fund and remains the main collaborater and leader of fundraising productions for The Leicester Drama Society (owners of The Little Theatre)
KW Productions is a proud member of NODA, The National Operatic and Dramatic Association and charity for amateur theatre societies www.noda.org.uk
